💞 Dear Royal Praying Priests, shalom!

💎 “Now Yeshua was going around all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the Good News of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and sickness. When He saw the crowds, He felt compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then He said to His disciples, ‘The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Therefore pray to the Lord of the harvest that He may send out workers into His harvest field.’” (Mat 9:35-38, TLV)

Yeshua visited not only great cities, but also the poor and nameless villages. He preached, He healed and He delivered, because each and every lost soul is precious to Him. When He looked out over the crowds, His heart broke!  He was moved as to His bowels, hence was moved with compassion on them for the bowels were thought to be the seat of love and pity.

They were harassed, abandoned, neglected, confused and aimless, like sheep with no shepherd. Their sad and destitute condition needed the good care of shepherds to bring them back. Their souls were uncared for! Our Redeemer Yeshua is touched with their wretched and helpless situation.  He saw the field of “the world” full of souls having to be gathered to Himself. He said to His disciples, “What a huge harvest!  How few workers! On your knees and pray for harvest hands!” (v37-38, MSG)

God’s work always suffered for lack of labourers, either none at all or too few!  In Isaiah 59:16, “He saw that there was no one—He was astonished that no one was interceding.”  In Ezekiel 22:30, God searched for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand in the breach before Him for the land, but He found no one!

When God calls you, do you usually respond with “someday” or “maybe”?  The labourers are few, and the harvest is plenteous.  Today let us be “the one” whom God is looking for, get on our knees, and pray for the labourers into the harvest!

🙏Dear Heavenly Father, we admit that oftentimes we make excuses and do not respond to Your call immediately.  We admit that we lack compassion for souls and get too busy with our daily routines or self-pleasures.  Please forgive us and renew our minds today. We are on our knees and we are willing to be at Your service. Use us even if we seem weak and small in numbers.  In the Name of Yeshua we pray and bless You, Amen.
