🍞 Manna for Meditation 191

28 June, 2022

💎 “A Song of Ascents. Behold, bless Adonai, all servants of Adonai, who stand by night in the House of Adonai. Lift up your hands to the Sanctuary and bless Adonai. May Adonai bless you out of Zion—Maker of heaven and earth.” (Psm 134:1-3, TLV)

💎 “And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.” (Eph 6:18)

Praise God that we are about to finish the 30-Day Prayer and Fasting in two days, and we ask God to seal the good work that He began in us and continue to carry it onto completion until the Day of Messiah Yeshua!

Last week we talked about the twofold benediction of Psalm 134, and this week let us focus on how to be posted to the night watch as the servants and maidservants of God.

  1. Pray in the Spirit

The Holy Spirit guides us into all the truth (Jhn 16:13). Each time when we pray, we need to ask the Spirit of Truth to help us and give us words of revelation, so that we can declare the promises of God in the Spirit with confidence and power. Without the Word of God, our prayers will miss the target or direction. One Bible verse is always worth a thousand of our own words.

  1. On All Occasions and with All Kinds of Prayers and Requests

To pray on all occasions begins with praying at a set time and in a set place. Therefore, every BBPN Praying Priest is required to intercede for Central Asia and Israel at a fixed time every week. We then also see Praying Priests carrying extra prayer burdens to keep praying spontaneously and in depth! To pray with all kinds of prayers and requests, we encourage all Praying Priests to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit – pray with mind and pray with spirit alternately, pray out loud, pray while walking around, or pray and fast.

  1. Be Alert

Prayer is a spiritual warfare, because the enemy is afraid of all Praying Priests using divine authority to declare God’s Word. We ought to keep alert and examine our own prayer life. If we have no planning for prayer, we will easily fail and drift away. All Praying Priests are encouraged to form regional prayer groups to keep each other accountable and stay vigilant!

🙏 Dear Father, we understand the importance of standing in our positions and praying according to your will. Please sharpen our spiritual senses to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, so we may use our spiritual authority to demolish the strongholds that hinder ourselves and others from coming to your sweet presence.  In the Name of Yeshua we pray and bless You, Amen.
