💎 “Trust in Adonai with all your heart, lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight.” (Pro 3:5-6, TLV)

Life is full of uncertainties, especially when the whole world is under emotional stress and mental health effects of the pandemic. We are forced to make decisions day after day, and it might seem like nothing is really slowing down. In times like this, we may easily feel anxious and burdened, and even lose hope. Although we do not always know what is coming up, we can always lean on God.

  1. Soul: Trust in Adonai with all your heart.

At times, the desire to take things into our own hands seems unavoidable and strong. When the storm hits us, we tend to hold onto the steering wheel even more tightly so we may gain control over it. However, to fully rely on God, it begins with our heart. It is the centre and marrow of divine wisdom. “My son, give your heart to me, and let your eyes observe my ways.” (Pro 23:26, TLV) “Whoever trusts in his own heart is a fool, but he who walks in wisdom will escape. (Pro 28:26, TLV)

  1. Mind: Lean not on your own understanding.

Have you ever come across a situation where you question God, “I don’t understand why you allow this to happen to me?” Even though naturally we like to understand and make sense of every circumstance and situation, the fact is that our understanding is limited. If we make decisions based on our limited knowledge, it is sometimes faulty. Let us make a conscious decision to give up self-confidence and self-reliance, but to trust God, rely on His strength and lean on His wisdom.

  1. Body: In all your ways acknowledge Him.

To walk through a stormy sea, thirdly, we have to acknowledge God in all our ways. “‘For My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor are your ways My ways.’ It is a declaration of Adonai. ‘For as the heavens are higher than earth, so are My ways higher than your ways, and My thoughts than your thoughts.'” (Isa 55:8-9, TLV) God’s ways are higher than our ways. The Hebrew word for “acknowledge” is יָדַע  (yada) meaning to know, learn to know, perceive and see, find out and discern, or know by experience. It also means to be made known or be revealed. To be acquainted with God’s ways, we have to learn by experience and during this process He is making Himself known to us! What a beautiful encounter and amazing interaction with God!

Let us worship Him! Trust in the LORD in Hebrew, English and Chinese.

🙏 Dear Father, thank You for promising to walk alongside us whenever we call upon You. When we are in doubt or in anxiety, please help us to open our hearts towards you, make a conscious decision to trust You with all our understanding, cast our cares and fears to You, rely on your strength and know that You are fully trustworthy and reliable! We acknowledge You with our body, mind and soul!  In the Name of Yeshua we pray and bless You, Amen.
