🍞 Manna for Meditation 162

💎 “until the Ruach (Spirit) is poured out on us from on high, and the desert becomes a garden, and a garden seems like a forest. Then justice will dwell in the wilderness, and righteousness abide in the garden. The result of righteousness will be shalom and the effect of righteousness will be quietness and confidence forever. My people will live in a peaceful place, in secure dwellings, quiet resting places.” (Isa 32:15-18, TLV)

When the world is celebrating the milestones of increasing vaccination distribution and shots, the Omicron coronavirus variant has put the nations on edge again. Life has taken on a hyperactive and furious pace. We really do not know who can trust, or where our money can be safe.  The inflation is eroding the value of cash, and the cost of living is rising faster than wages can keep up. We are now living in a restless and uncertain age, and we have learnt to accept this restless anxiety as a way of life.  However, is this the way God intends us to live?

“Until the Ruach (Spirit) is poured out on us from on high, and the desert becomes a garden and a garden seems like a forest.” (v15) The blessed times will be ushered by the pouring of the Spirit of high. Our God is getting ready for a great outpouring on us! However, are we willing to wait for Him until the day of a great outpouring? What should we do during the time of waiting?

We all need for righteousness – being right with God and being right with one another. No one is completely righteous and holy; only the gospel declares us righteousness. God can do it through our faith in Messiah and the power of the Holy Spirit. Is there still anything that hinders us from receiving God’s love and blessings? Are we still holding any grudges against someone?  Let us humble before God, repent and return.  We will surely receive the fruit of shalom, and the effect of quietness and confidence for such a time as this, and forever.

🙏 Dear Heavenly Father, please reveal to us what hinders us from waiting patiently for your great outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Fill us with your love and give us courage to get things right. Let no more excuses to delay us from receiving your blessings, shalom, quietness and assurance.  In the Name of Yeshua we pray and bless You, Amen!
