💞 Dear Royal Praying Priests, shalom!
💎 “Therefore submit to God. But resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” (Jas 4:7-8a, TLV)
James gives us three instructions in the above verses – submit, resist and draw near. We ought to submit to God, resist the devil and draw near to God. However, too many people do it the opposite way. They resist God, submit to the devil and keep themselves away from God!
- Submit to God
Yeshua does everything the Father required of Him (Jhn 5:30, 36, Heb 10:7). In Gethsemane, when his soul is deeply grieved, even to the point of death. He prays, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from Me! Yet not as I will, but as You will.” (Mat 26:39) Because of His complete submission, the salvation plan is carried and we are able to be saved. Let us begin our day by coming under God’s authority in the name of Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus Christ), and submitting ourselves fully to Him including our spirit, soul and body.
- Resist the Devil
First, we need to recognise the existence of the devil and the source of attack against us. Second, we need to use our authority given by Yeshua to resist the devil. Third, we will rejoice in the victory as the Bible promises that “Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” Recognise, resist and rejoice! When it comes to dealing with the devil, take up your authority in Yeshua, bind it in the name of Yeshua, command it to be gone from you in the name of Yeshua, and order it never return to you again in the name of Yeshua!
- Draw near to God
“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” (Jas 4:8a) This is the verse we hug to our hearts in BBPN, so we name our regional revival prayer groups as Draw Me Close (DMC) Prayer Altars! Our Father always opens His arms for us to run to! We can always anticipate the fresh touch and joyful encounter of Father’s rich and great love. (1Jn 3:1)
Let us worship Him and run into His arms of love today! Forever Reign
🙏 Dear Father, we love You dearly, and we gladly come under Your authority and cover in the name of Yeshua. Today we submit all our spirit, soul and body to You. You are our all in all! We take up the authority to resist the devil and we resolve not to compromise with this world. We intentionally come near to you, and we thank You for Your rich love and strong presence in every aspect of our lives. Again, Father, we love You and we honour You. In the Name of Yeshua we pray and bless You, Amen.
