💞 Dear Royal Praying Priests, shalom!
💎 “I ask on their behalf. Not on behalf of the world do I ask, but on behalf of those You have given Me, for they are Yours. All Mine are Yours, and Yours are Mine; and I have been glorified in them.” (Jhn 17:9-10, TLV)
Praise God that in the last five weeks, we have imitated our Messiah Yeshua to demonstrate love to one another via the Five Love Languages – Words of Affirmation, Physical Touch, Quality time, Receiving Gifts and Acts of Service. If you have any testimonies to share, please do not hesitate to contact us. We overcome satan by the blood of the Lamb, by the word of our testimony, and we do not love our lives even in the face of death (Rev 12:11)!
Generally, you will hear that there are only five Love Languages. However, do not forget that there is another powerful Love Language that God gives to His people. Prayer is always the trump card above all ranks!
6. Prayer – The Trump Card !
In John 17:9-19, Yeshua prayed for His own out of His heartfelt love and concern for them.
He prayed for the 11 disciples because they were given by God (v.9-10), and He was no longer going to be visible in the world as He was returning to Father (v.11). He asked Father to guard them as they pursued life, so they could be one heart and mind just as He and Father are (v.12). He asked Father to give joy and His Word to the disciples, so they could be joyful during the sufferings and had the ability to obey the Word of God (v.13-14). He asked Father to keep them from the evil one, so they have special testimony that above the world (v.15-16). He prayed and asked Father to make them consecrated with the Truth; they would be truth-consecrated for the mission in the world (v.17-19).
After Yeshua prayed for His disciples, He also interceded for all believers including you and me (v.20-26)! He treasures us as Father’s gifts to Him, and He loves us deeply with great concern for us. He prayed that we may believe in Him, see His glory, enjoy Father’s love, and be perfected in unity, so the world may know that we are God’s choice to witness Him! Yeshua prayed for us even before we were born. He cared about our salvation, our relationship with Him and our relationship with one another. We are in His heart and in His prayer!
Act Today: 1. Use Yeshua’s prayer in John 17:20-26 to pray for one person in your family, office or school who hasn’t come to the Lord this week. 2. Take courage, and go to tell this person that you are praying for him. Ask if he has anything else that you can pray for, and if possible, pray in front of him right there for him to hear your prayer of love!
🙏 Dear Heavenly Father, we praise You because You are the source of true and unconditional love. Thank You for sending Yeshua to pray for us even before we came to this world. We are forever grateful to know that Yeshua loved us so much and took time to pray for our salvation, our relationship with You and our relationship with one another. Father, once again we asked You to make us like Yeshua so we may reflect Your love, glory and light to the world. In the name of Yeshua we pray and bless You, Amen.
