๐Ÿ’ž Dear Royal Praying Priests, shalom!

๐Ÿ’Ž โ€œCreate in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.โ€ (Psm 51:10)

๐Ÿ’Ž โ€œIn the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.โ€ (Gen 1:1)

When King David laments what an unclean heart he had, he also sees that it is not in his own power to repair the decay of sinful nature. He understands that the reformation of his character is not enough, therefore, he cries out to the Creator God for help. King David uses the Hebrew word ื‘ึธึผืจึธื (bara) in his prayer, and it is the same word used to describe Godโ€™s creation of the world. ื‘ึธึผืจึธื (bara) means to shape, fashion and create; it always comes with God as subject. It is not to create from pre-existing materials. Instead, it is out of the non-existing as how God created the World by the power of His Word.

โ€œYou are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.โ€ (Jhn 15:3)

Have you experienced hopelessness of old nature? We all need the sanctifying grace to get our corrupt nature changed and transformed. The God of nature created the world by the power of His Word, and it is also by the power of His Word as the God of grace that we are made clean and sanctified.

Let us worship Him and make Psalm 51:10 our prayer today!

Worship song: Create in Me

๐Ÿ™Dear Heavenly Father, I admit that there is absolutely no way for me to fix the sinful nature by my own power. Thank You for displaying Your marvelous and supreme power of salvation through Your Word. O gracious Maker of heaven and earth, please create in me a clean heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. I need Your sanctifying grace more than ever. Make a fresh start in me, and shape a Genesis week from the feeble and chaotic status of my life. In the Name of Yeshua we pray and bless You, Amen.
