💞 Dear Royal Praying Priests, shalom!

💎 “Commit your way to Adonai. Trust in Him, and He will do it.” (Psm 37:5, TLV)

💎 “Then Adonai said to Joshua, ‘This day I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.’ Therefore the name of that place has been called Gilgal to this day.” (Jos 5:9, TLV)

In Psalm 37:5, the Hebrew word גּוֹל (gol) translated as “commit” is from the root word גָּלַל (galal) which means to roll away, roll off, remove, wallow, commit or trust. In Joshua 5:9, Adonai said to Joshua that He has rolled away (root word גָּלַל galal) the reproach of Egypt from the Israelites, and He also named the place Gilgal גִּלְגָּל meaning “a wheel, rolling, or pulley”.

A pulley acts to change the direction of a force applied to the cord, reduces the amount of force, and then raises heavy weights. When we commit to God, we entrust ourselves to Him completely and roll away our troubles, burdens, sufferings, confusions, and reproach to Him. Our God is able and more than able to raise heavy loads off our shoulders and off our hearts whenever we come to Him.

“Come to Me, all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and ‘you will find rest for your souls.’ For My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” (Mat 11:28-30, TLV)

Are you tried, worn out or burned out on religion? Yeshua invites us to come to Him and get away with Him. He will recover our lives and show us how to take a real rest. Let us encourage one another to walk with Him, work with Him and watch how He does it. Recommit our lives to Him, roll our cares upon Him, trust in Him wholeheartedly and we will live freely and lightly!

🙏Dear Heavenly Father, we come to You and recommit our lives to Your hands. We roll away all our troubles, burdens, sufferings, confusions, reproach and cares to You. Thank you for breaking the heavy yoke in our lives, and teach us the unforced rhythms of grace. We know that You will not lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on our shoulders, and You will show us how to find rest and live freely. In Yeshua’s name we pray and bless You, Amen.
