💞 Dear Royal Praying Priests, shalom!

💎 “For Your love (chesed) is before my eyes and I have walked in Your truth.” (Psa 26:3, TLV)

💎 “And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, The Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness (chesed) and truth, Keeping mercy (chesed) for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children’s children, unto the third and to the fourth generation.” (Exo 34:6-7, TLV)

The Hebrew word חֶסֶד (chesed) is used for love or mercy of God towards people, and it is often translated as lovingkindness, mercy, goodness, or faithfulness in English translations. Chesed is one of the attributes of God mentioned in Exodus 34:6-7 when God revealed Himself to Moses.

According to Strong’s Hebrew Lexicon, the root word חָסַד (chasad) has a primary significance of “eager and ardent desire” used in two senses – firstly, to love, desire towards any one; secondly, to put to shame or contempt. חֶסֶד (chesed) is a noun and it is used in both senses as well – in a good sense, zeal, love, and kindness towards any one; in a bad sense, zeal, desire and ardour against any one, hence reproach.

In Psalm 26:3, we are told that even in the gloomiest condition, the lovingkindness of the Lord is our ground of hope. The goodness of the Lord should be before our eyes as a motive of our prospect and conduct. We are no longer under the bondage of law through the redemptive power and love of our Messiah Yeshua. We are justified by faith and we now stand in this grace through Him. Yeshua is our Good Shepherd (Jhn 10:11) and He is the way, the truth and the life (Jhn 14:6). When sometimes you feel that you cannot go on anymore, please remember that Yeshua is always here to guide you and He enables you to walk in God’s truth!

Some talk of truth, let us walk in it! Do not be too forgetful of the way in which God walks toward us through His beloved Son, and encourage one another to walk in the ways of obedience toward Him! Amen.

🙏Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the chesed that You freely demonstrated to us! We choose to believe in Your lovingkindness by faith not by sight, and Your love is before our eyes! As the world keeps fighting against COVID-19 to save lives, we pray that those who are vulnerable, sick or infected will receive Your mercy, love and healing. Show them how much You love and care through Your Son our Messiah Yeshua, and sustain their bodies and spirits. O Abba Father, enable Your Church to walk in Your truth. Inspire us to help in any way we can, pray for the sick, share the good news, and release Your presence wherever we are. In Yeshua’s name we pray and bless You, Amen.
