🏠Sister Shana | BBPN Beit Simcha & Taipei Beit Simcha | March 23, 2026
Today, BBPN Beit Simcha and the Taipei Beit Simcha hosting team welcomed the family of seven, E family, at their final stop before leaving Taiwan.
🙏 Preparation and Prayer Before Hosting
The mother was very polite and concerned that her five energetic children might cause disturbance, suggesting only a simple tea snack. Pastor Jamie repeatedly communicated with her, hoping she could fully rest and be truly hosted during this meal. She also prayed specifically, asking God to send angels to watch over the children, so they could sit peacefully and enjoy the food.
🍽️ Meal Time After a Long Journey
The family had travelled six hours from Taroko to Taipei in a five-seater car. They had originally planned to check into a hotel first, but discovered the reservation was for the next day, and had to find alternate accommodation quickly. During the meal, Pastor Jamie shared that the hosting was a gesture of gratitude to the Jewish people—for preserving the Bible and bringing the Messiah. When they learned the meal was provided by the Burning Bush Prayer Network, they showed surprised expressions and said their first “Thank you.”
😊 Children’s Joy and Independence
The children enjoyed every dish, eating happily and even asking for more. They were independent, serving themselves and insisting on using chopsticks rather than forks, which put the hosts at ease.
🎁 Small Gifts and Connection with God
As the meal neared its end, Pastor Jamie presented five small prayer gifts (tzitzit) prepared for the children. With the mother translating, Shana shared the biblical story of the woman with the issue of blood, encouraging the children to understand that even a small touch or simple action can create a connection with God. The children listened attentively, said a second “Thank you,” and happily chose their tzitzit. The third child immediately wore his tzitzit around his waist.
🔥 The Voice of Burning Bush: The Whole Family Seen
Pastor Jamie then released an inspired blessing over the family—from father and mother to each child. The father smiled throughout and emphasized the importance of listening quietly. The parents translated each blessing for the children. After receiving the blessing, the mother visibly relaxed and felt fully at ease. She mentioned that normally they would prepare a small gift in return, but due to the sudden situation they could not. She said the best response was to pray for the hosts, hoping one day they could welcome them in Israel.
🎨 Children’s Artwork and Messages
The children also created heartfelt drawings:
- The second child drew the Israeli flag with crosses on each side and wrote “Shalom”
- The third child drew the Star of David and olive branches symbolizing peace
- The fourth child made two double-sided colourful drawings
- The two-year-old enjoyed doodling freely
The eldest child wrote in the guestbook:
“Thank you so much, dear Jamie and Shana, for your great kindness and warm hospitality, and also for the gifts you gave us at the table. We wish you success, to continue being yourselves, and full health and joy.”
The mother noted this was the first time her eldest had proactively written a message to someone else, making it especially precious.
💛 Warm Interaction After the Meal
After dinner, the father and two older sons went to retrieve the car, while the mother walked with the three younger children to Pastor Jamie’s home to collect luggage left at the start of their trip. The shy children took initiative to hold hands. During the wait, the third child sang nursery songs under his mother’s guidance, while the fourth and fifth children held hands with Pastor Jamie and Shana, spinning and dancing along with the music.
🌱 Conclusion: Love’s Continuation and Gospel Seeds
It was a night full of gratitude. Thanks be to God for allowing the parents to relax without worrying about disturbing others, for giving the children energy and joy even after a long journey, and for using the “Voice of Burning Bush” to help the family tangibly experience His love and protection.
May the hearts of this family, nurtured by the love and care of Taiwan’s Beit Simcha communities, be softened and sown with seeds of faith; and may those seeds take root and grow at the next stop—Japan’s Beit Samurai.
