Jewish Girls: A Prayer Unheard in Our Culture

🏠 Ray & Jane | BBPN Beit Simcha | January 25, 2026

Thanks be to the Lord for His leading. On January 17th, just before their departure from Taiwan, we had the honour of meeting “warriors” O and N, two young women who served in the Israeli Navy.

A Banquet that Bridged the Hearts

When we first met at the restaurant, the two girls were somewhat reserved. Upon learning that this meal was sponsored by the “Burning Bush Prayer Network” as an expression of love and gratitude toward God’s chosen people, they were so surprised that they insisted on paying. It was only after we reaffirmed, “It is our honour to host you,” that their faces blossomed into sincere smiles. During the meal, we shared that while Taiwan may not have an “Iron Dome” defence system, the prayers of Christians serve as a heavenly, supernatural shield. Their eyes brimmed with deep emotion as they learned that people in Taiwan watch over Israel in prayer every single day.

From Birthday Cheers to Being Precisely Known by God

After dinner, we returned to Pastor Jamie’s home, where a warm surprise awaited Jane, our January birthday celebrant. As we sang “Happy Birthday” in English, the girls joined in with the Hebrew version, ending with the distinctive jubilant ululations of Jewish culture, even enthusiastically teaching Ray how to make the sound. This effortless exchange filled the room with laughter, completely dissolving any remaining barriers.

In this atmosphere of joy, the focus shifted toward a deeper spiritual connection. As we shared the “Voice of Burning Bush” (prophetic blessings) received for them in advance, the girls listened with rapt attention. They were visibly shaken by how accurately the prayers described their character—particularly the word “warrior” received for N, which was the exact term they had used to introduce themselves. Then, as Pastor Jamie’s father welcomed them to the “Beit HaMasiach (House of Messiah),” N’s eyes widened in shock: “My surname is actually Mashiach (Messiah)!”

The entire room was struck with wonder! God Himself had led a “Miss Messiah” back to the “House of Messiah.” This was no coincidence, but the Father’s tender guidance—telling her that here, she is not a stranger, but a daughter who has come home.

An Unprecedented Intimacy in Prayer: May They Encounter the True Messiah

As we parted, we released blessings over their futures and their marriages. On the way to the MRT, when asked how they felt about the day, they remarked poignantly, “We enjoyed tonight so much. This way of praying is something that has never existed in our culture or faith.”

Though our time together was brief, seeing their eyes glisten because they felt “deeply known by God” brought us profound fulfillment. May that phrase—”never existed before”—mark the beginning of a spiritual awakening. May this intimate way of talking with the Lord become an eternal longing in their hearts. We pray that these two daughters of Israel will soon encounter the true Savior, the Messiah, and find in the Father’s embrace that restored, unceasing intimacy.
