We thank Yeshua—His love reached the Jewish guests through us, bringing them comfort and peace during a time of rising antisemitism.

When we first met them on October 24, they appeared cautious. While browsing the menu outside the restaurant, Pastor Jamie explained that this meal was offered by the Burning Bush Prayer Network, because we wanted to express two things face-to-face:

  1. Thank you to the Jewish people for giving us a Jewish Messiah—Yeshua is Jewish, not Chinese.
  2. Thank you for faithfully preserving the Scriptures, so that we may receive this precious Word.

After hearing this, they visibly relaxed and began to smile.

Y had been traveling for five months and met S a year ago in Sri Lanka. S had heard about the beautiful ministry of Beit Simcha and invited Y to experience it together. She said, “Traveling everywhere feels unsafe—only in Taiwan and at Beit Simcha do I feel truly safe.” The next day, she would head to Vietnam, then return to Israel. She didn’t plan to do much upon returning, just wanted to reconnect with family and friends.

D had just completed a performance course and was learning filmmaking, hoping to act and direct in the future. S, who studies architecture, is D’s cousin. She was traveling for two weeks during her school break and would fly back to Israel via Bangkok the following morning. I had been traveling for four months and would return to Israel in four days, possibly entering a profession related to landmine clearance.

Due to seating limitations, the four Jewish guests sat together and enjoyed hotpot, chatting happily. Thank God, we were still able to have simple conversations and get to know a few of them.

After dinner, we walked to the Beit HaMashiach (Pastor Jamie’s home) for a time of gift-giving and blessing. We hoped that when they saw the carefully prepared gifts, they would remember that there is a Beit Simcha in Taiwan—one that receives them with love and gratitude because of Yeshua.

We read aloud prophetic blessings received by BBPN team for each of them, praying that the Holy Spirit would use these words to reveal the God who knows and loves them:

  • Y’s eyes lit up as she listened, as if her heart had been touched.
  • S smiled joyfully and said, “Thank you.”
  • D was shocked and strengthened, as the words spoke directly to her passion for pursuing dreams.
  • I was especially unique—we received that he loves mountain climbing. That afternoon, Pastor Jamie’s father had unexpectedly brought out a small hiking tool, hoping to give it to someone. It turned out to be exactly what I needed! He exclaimed, “I really love hiking!” God’s arrangement was truly wonderful.

At the end, Pastor Jamie read aloud a blessing written by his father in Hebrew. They listened attentively with smiles, seemingly delighted that a Taiwanese person was blessing them in Hebrew. Pastor Jamie kept checking if she was pronouncing it correctly, and they responded, “Yes, that’s exactly how you say it.”

We prayed to God, asking that the love shared in our fellowship that evening would be deeply planted in each of their hearts. This love comes from God alone—only His love can be so selfless and willing to give. When the time comes, may they realise that Yeshua’s love has never left their lives. He is the one who sacrificed Himself to redeem them—their Messiah.
