Our History

History Overview

The Burning Bush Prayer Network (BBPN) began in 2015 in response to a divine calling. What started with nine international prayer altars has gradually grown into a prayer and missions movement focused on Central Asia, the Caucasus, and Israel. In 2019, the “Chinese Burning Bush Prayer & Missions Association” was officially established in Taiwan, launching initiatives such as “Month of Praise” and hospitality ministries for Israeli backpackers—continually bearing witness to God’s work among the nations.

From Calling to Commission: The Story of BBPN

The Burning Bush Prayer Network (hereafter referred to as “BBPN”) was birthed from a gentle yet resolute calling from the Lord. On February 23, 2015, God challenged Pastor Jamie Tseng—a seasoned cross-cultural missionary—to live a life of prayer and missions that would impact believers and raise up intercessors for Israel.

Led by the Holy Spirit, the network was formed within its first week, uniting nine prayer altars from Australia, Taiwan, Singapore, and East Asia. This marked the beginning of a glorious journey.

In the seasons that followed, BBPN began interceding for the “Central Asian Silk Road,” “Families and Marriages,” and “Workplace Transformation.” By July 2019, the ministry refocused and launched a new movement: “From Mountains of Heaven to Mount Zion.” Today, we remain committed to interceding for Central Asia, the Caucasus region, and Israel, and we look forward to continuing to follow the Lord’s leading—standing watch over the nations along the ancient Silk Road.

As the ministry grew, and under the spiritual covering of Pastor Peter Yang, two years of prayerful preparation culminated in the official registration of the “Chinese Burning Bush Prayer & Missions Association” in Taiwan on July 27, 2019. Pastor Daniel Su currently serves as the association’s second chairman.

To strengthen the faith of intercessors, BBPN launched “Month of Praise” in September 2018. Every September, we devote ourselves to praising the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, and the family of God. Through creative expressions such as prophetic dance, we pause petition-based prayers and cultivate a lifestyle of praise and thanksgiving. Over the years, we have witnessed countless breakthroughs and spiritual renewal.

Since 2020, we have also initiated a hospitality ministry for Israeli backpackers. Currently, five teams have joined the “Taiwan Beit Simcha Jewish Missions Network,” sharing the love of the Lord with Jewish travellers through heartfelt hospitality.
