🍞 Manna for Meditation 186

24 May, 2022

💎 “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem—May those who love you be at peace!” (Psm 122:6, TLV)

Jerusalem Day (יום ירושלים, Yom Yerushalayim) is celebrated on the 28th day of the Hebrew month of Iyar each year. In 2022, it will be celebrated at sundown on Saturday, 28 May and end at nightfall on Sunday, 29 May. It is an Israeli national holiday in recognition of the victory in the Six-Day War, and it commemorates the reunification of Jerusalem under Jewish sovereignty in June 1967. Last year we mentioned the significance of Jerusalem in Manna for Mediation 132, and this year let us pray for the destiny of Jerusalem in unity.

  1. City of the Great King

“A beautiful height—the joy of the whole earth—is Mount Zion, on the northern side of the city of the great King.” (Psm 48:3, TLV) “In that day His feet will stand on the Mount of Olives which lies to the east of Jerusalem, and the Mount of Olives will be split in two from east to west, forming a huge valley. Half of the mountain will move toward the north and half of it toward the south.”(Zec 14:4, TLV) In the Name of Yeshua, we bless Jerusalem, the City of the Great King, to get ready for receiving the return of our King of Kings and Lord of Lords in His due time!

  1. City of Praise and Worship

“There the tribes go up, the tribes of Adonai—as a testimony to Israel—to praise the Name of Adonai.” (Psm 122:4, TLV) “On your walls, Jerusalem, I have set watchmen. All day and all night, they will never hold their peace. You who remind Adonai, take no rest for yourselves, and give Him no rest until He establishes and makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.” (Isa 62:6-7, TLV) In the Name of Yeshua, we bless Jerusalem, the City of Praise and Worship, to be established by God continually and host the powerful and glorious presence of God!

  1. City of Shalom

“May there be shalom within your walls— quietness within your palaces. For the sake of my brothers and friends, I now say: ‘Shalom be within you.’ For the sake of the House of Adonai our God, I will seek your good.” (Psm 122:7-9, TLV) In the Name of Yeshua, we bless Jerusalem, the City of Shalom, to enjoy the wholeness and quietness from God.

  1. City of Truth

“Then many peoples will go and say: ‘Come, let us go up to the mountain of Adonai, to the House of the God of Jacob! Then He will teach us His ways, and we will walk in His paths.’ For Torah will go forth from Zion and the word of Adonai from Jerusalem.” (Isa 2:3, TLV) In the Name of Yeshua, we bless Jerusalem, the City of Truth, to release the Word of God to all nations and to disciple all nations.

Let us worship Him! Shalom Yerushalayim (Hebrew song)

🙏 Dear Father, thank You for calling us to pray and watch for Jerusalem, the City of the Great King. We will take no rest and keep praying for Jerusalem until she fulfills her destiny in your beautiful timing. We not only pray for the city of Jerusalem, but also pray for those who live in this city to be saved.  Please make Jerusalem a city of praise and truth, and make all residents your worshippers in spirit and in truth! In the Name of Yeshua we pray and bless You, Amen!
