🍞 Manna for Meditation 164

21 December, 2021

💎  ”But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for me one who will be ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”  (Mic 5:2)

“Joy to the world! The Lord is come. Let earth receive her King! Let every heart prepare Him room. And heaven and nature sing. And heaven and nature sing. And heaven, and heaven and nature sing.” Christmas music begins playing in shops and malls, and the air is filled with joy and shalom in most of the world. Merry Christmas to you and your family!

  1. The Date of Yeshua’s Birth is Unknown.

Christmas is celebrated on 25th of December, but the Bible never states the exact day of Yeahua’s birth. Throughout history, some try to match Yeshua’s birth with Passover or Tabernacles, while others claim that it is on 25th of December or 6th of January.   Nonetheless, the birth of Yeshua is definitely a significant event that changes the world!

  1. The Place of Yeshua’s Birth is Definite.

Although the Bible is silent on the date, the place of Yeshua’s birth is mentioned. The prophet Micah says that Messiah is to be born in Bethlehem, and this prophecy is fulfilled in the life of Yeshua. Moreover, the Bible also tells us that Yeshua is born in a manger, which is a very humble beginning for the King of the Kings and Lord of Lords.

  1. God is for Us and God is with Us.

The angel of the Lord tells Joseph that do not hesitate to get married because Mary’s pregnancy is Spirit-conceived.  She will bring a son to birth and Joseph will name Him Yeshua – God Saves – because He will save His people from their sins! (Mat 1:20-21) Yes, God did not spare His own Son but gave Him up for us all. Therefore, no one can bring a charge against God’s elect. (Rom 8:31-32) God is for us!

The angel of the Lord also tells Joseph that Yeshua’s birth will bring the prophet’s embryonic revelation to full term – a virgin will get pregnant and bear a son; they will name Him Immanuel (Hebrew for “God is with us”).  God is also with us!

🙏 Dear Heavenly Father, although no one really knows the exact day of Yeshua’s birth, we are forever grateful for Yeshua’s humble beginning on this earth to save all of us from our sins. Although we may not always sense the presence of Yeshua with and in us, especially when we walk through the darkness valley, we know by heart that Yeshua is with us always, to the very end of the age. Father, please use us and send us to shine for Yeshua and bring many lost souls to You. In the Name of Yeshua we pray and bless You, Amen.
