🍞 Manna for Meditation 145

10 August, 2021

💞 Dear Royal Praying Priests, shalom!

💎 “The heart of man plans his course, but Adonai directs his steps.” (Pro 16:9, TLV)

In less than one month, we are celebrating Rosh Hashanah (Jewish New Year) 5782.  Rosh Hashanah literally means “head of the year”. It is also known as Yom Teruah, literally meaning “day of shouting or blasting” as well as Feast of Trumpets.  As the Jewish Year 5781 draws to a close, let us spend time reflecting on both what God has done and what God has undone in our lives.  It’s our lifetime faith lesson to walk with God daily, so we neither seek for self-achievement nor self-castigation. Let us focus on and enjoy the learning process in our faith journey together!

Jewish Year 5781 undoubtedly is a tough year for the world.  Many nations are still batting against COVID-19 and its variants.  Globally, there have been 201+ million confirmed cases of COVID-19, and 4.28 million people have died so far from the coronavirus outbreak. If you still remember, in the middle of turmoil we named 2021 as the Year of Victory for BBPN because we foresaw more spiritual warfare coming on the way.  When the situation gets tough, we ought to toughen our faith!  Therefore, this week please spend time meditating on the four key Bible verses that we chose for the Year of Victory, and write down what God has done or undone in these four areas.  Celebrate and glorify God for what He has done.  Ask Him to show us His way for what He has undone, so we are prepared to enter Rosh Hashanah 5782 on 7 September!

  1. In 2021, we are ready for battles, and we proclaim victory through our Lord Yeshua! “A horse is prepared for the day of battle, but victory comes from Adonai.” (Pro 21:31, TLV)
    • What battles do you win?  What battles do you lose, and why?
  2. In 2021, we are committed to revealing everywhere the aroma of the knowledge of Messiah! “But thanks be to God, who in Messiah always leads us in triumphal procession, and through us reveals everywhere the aroma of the knowledge of Himself. For we are the aroma of Messiah to God, among those who are being saved and those who are perishing.” (2Co 2:14-15, TLV)
    • Do you have any testimonies of sharing the love of the Messiah or the gospel of life to others? Do people see Yeshua through your daily lives and interactions with them?
  3. In 2021, we are committed to serving God with excellency. “But thanks be to God, who keeps giving us the victory through our Lord Yeshua the Messiah! Therefore, my dearly loved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always excelling in the work of the Lord—because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain.” (1Co 15:57-58, TLV)
    •  What new areas or spiritual gifts are discovered and developed?  Are there any new ministries that God calls you to?
  4. In 2021, we are filled by the love of Messiah and we are more than conquerors!  “But in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Messiah Yeshua our Lord.” (Rom 8:37-39, TLV)
    • Do you experience the love of Father more? Are you still suffering with the orphan spirit, fears or worries?  How can you ask for help?

🙏 Dear Father, thank You again for showing us your unfailing love every day during the time of troubles or lockdowns.  We mourn for those who lost their lives to COVID-19, and we understand that the urgency is still great for us to keep praying and sharing the love of Messiah in this battle. O Holy Spirit, please fill us and empower us to finish Jewish Year 5781 without any regrets.  Prepare us to enter Rosh Hashanah 5782 joyfully with a hope and a future!  In the Name of Yeshua we pray and bless You.  Amen!
