πŸ’ž Dear Royal Praying Priests, shalom!

πŸ’Ž β€œFor thus says the High and Exalted One who inhabits eternity, whose Name is Holy: β€˜I dwell in a high and holy place, yet also with a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and revive the heart of the contrite.’” (Isa 57:15, TLV)

Our God is never content with inviting us to come for just a short visit. His desire is to invite us to come home and dwell with Him. Our hearts yearn for home, as it is an inner longing for belonging. It is the most inconceivable moment when we come home to live with Him and He lives with us. That is a radical change of love relationship with Him.

King David said, β€œOne thing have I asked of Adonai, that will I seek: to dwell in the House of Adonai all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of Adonai, and to meditate in His Temple.” (Psm 27:4, TLV) David not only enjoyed the presence of God in the victories of fighting against Goliath when he was a young boy and welcomed the presence of God in his palace later when he became a king, he learnt to focus on just one thing – to dwell in the house of Adonai and gaze upon the beauty of Adonai. David’s deep love for the presence of God kept him always single-minded and fixed his eyes on Him.

Our God dwells in a high and holy place, and He also dwells with those with a contrite and humble spirit. During the fasting and prayer season, let us focus on humbling ourselves with deep repentance, and long for the tangible and strong manifest presence of God.

πŸ™ Dear Father, our hearts long for Your manifest presence deeply day after day. Please grant us a contrite and humble spirit, so we may humble ourselves and repent of our sins. Please remove anything in our lives that hinders us from coming home and dwelling with You. Revive our spirit and heart to inherit the kingdom of heaven as You promised in Matthew 5:3. We love You and honour You! In the Name of Yeshua we pray and bless You, Amen.
