๐Ÿž Manna for Meditation 132

11 May, 2021

๐Ÿ’ž Dear Royal Praying Priests, shalom!

๐Ÿ’Ž โ€œOn your walls, Jerusalem, I have set watchmen. All day and all night, they will never hold their peace. You who remind Adonai take no rest for yourselves, and give Him no rest until He establishes and makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.โ€ (Isa 62:6-7, TLV)

Jerusalem Day (ื™ื•ื ื™ืจื•ืฉืœื™ื, Yom Yerushalayim) was celebrated at sundown on Sunday, 9 May 2021 and ended at nightfall yesterday, 10 May 2021. It is an Israeli national holiday to thank God for the victory in the Six-Day War, and to commemorate the reunification of Jerusalem under Jewish sovereignty in June 1967. โ€œJerusalem” occurs 811 times in 764 verses in the KJV Bible. It is an ancient holy city and a centre of pilgrimage for the Jewish people, Christians, and Muslims. The LORD instructs us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem (Psm 122:6-9); day and night to keep praying, calling out, reminding Him to remember Jerusalem until He makes her famous as the City of Praise (Isa 62:6-7. What is so special about Jerusalem?

  1. Jerusalem is the Centre of the World

โ€œIn order to seize spoil and carry off plunder, to turn your hand against the waste places now inhabited and against the people gathered from the nations, who have been acquiring livestock and property, who live in the centre of the world.โ€ (Eze 38:12, TLV)

  1. Jerusalem is the Dwelling Place Chosen by God

โ€œSince the day that I brought My people out of the land of Egypt, I did not choose a city out of all the tribes of Israel in which to build a House that My Name might be there. Nor did I choose any man to be a leader over My people Israel.  But I have chosen Jerusalem that My Name would abide there and I have chosen David to be over My people Israel.โ€ (2Ch 6:5-6, TLV)

  1. Jerusalem was Promised to the Jewish People

โ€œBehold, I will make Jerusalem a cup of reeling to all the surrounding peoples when they besiege Jerusalem as well as Judah. Moreover, in that day I will make Jerusalem a massive stone for all the people. All who try to lift it will be cut to pieces. Nevertheless, all the nations of the earth will be gathered together against her.โ€ (Zec 12:2-3, TLV)

  1. Jerusalem is Built by God

โ€œTherefore this is what the Lord says: โ€˜I will return to Jerusalem with mercy, and there my house will be rebuilt. And the measuring line will be stretched out over Jerusalem,โ€™ declares the Lord Almighty. Proclaim further: This is what the Lord Almighty says: โ€˜My towns will again overflow with prosperity, and the Lord will again comfort Zion and choose Jerusalem.โ€™โ€ (Zec 1:16-17)

  1. Jerusalem is about the Return of Yeshua

โ€œO Jerusalem, Jerusalem who kills the prophets and stones those sent to her! How often I longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing! Look, your house is left to you desolate! For I tell you, you will never see Me again until you say, โ€˜Baruch ha-ba bโ€™shem Adonai. Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!โ€™โ€ (Mat 23:37-39, TLV)

๐Ÿ™ Dear Father, thank You for opening our eyes to understand the significance of Jerusalem.  We are privileged to call as the watchmen for Your Dwelling Place, and we are committed to praying day and night until You make Jerusalem a City of Praise welcoming the return of our Messiah Yeshua! In the Name of Yeshua we pray and bless You, Amen.
